If you never have failed, you have never lived

If you have never failed, you have never lived.  Everyone has a song written in their hearts. Everyone has a song meant to be sung from the roof tops. Everyone is meant to fly and see new heighths, go new places, and accomplish far dreams. But most people never sing their heart song because they never fail. Failure is a step in budding wings, but just remember, it is not the only step. Failure is just one step in the many moments of success. Don't let failure intimidate you.

Most people die with their song still in them

because their fear of failure is greater than their desire to live.

Here is a video of famous people who failed, but truly lived. Who do you want to be?

Its the Small Things

Posted by Lana on October 28, 2012 at 4:15 AM Comments comments (0)

I have learned in my time in Asia that its the small things that make the difference. I have started a blog  where I am writing about the small things that we can all do to make a difference.

My mom pointed out that its the same for a business. In fact, for a business its consistent action, not big action, that  often goes the furthest.

Here's an excerpt from my blog. Check it out:

"Her family was kicked out of the slums in a city clean-up project and was placed in a flood district. In the rainy season, she gets to home by boat a board. In the dry season, she walks in the splitting hit. And all the time she lives without Jesus, without hope for more, without electricity, and without much food. Or she did, until a very few people cared to visit her.Once a week.

Yes, a simple once-a-week visit.

Jeff Olson, in talking about success, says that its consistency that brings the results. A student, for example, who studies a little bit every day, exceeds far more than the student who studies a lot the night before.

I confess. This is hard for me to learn. I dream big, and want to do big things. And that’s what I expected when I first moved oversees — Big. Instead, I was given the job of driving kids around town. And I was given the job of cooking. And I was given the job of making sure kids did their homework when it meant using me as a vocal punching bag."

Spider Bite

Posted by Lana on October 28, 2012 at 4:05 AM Comments comments (0)

So other night I looked down and I had this huge lump on the back of my leg. It looked like cancer, except that it was read all around the bump.

I knew it was a spider.

And I was seriously panicking.

Some of my bottles, left over from a trip, didn't have labels on them. Honestly I don't know all the oils I put on the bite, but I started putting them all on: lime, melelecea, lemon, hellycrisum, frankincense, pepperment, lavendar, onguard maybe purity (one of the bottles not labeled). Basically whatever oil touched my hands, I applied. I didn't have time to analyze proportions or oils. I just put them on a whole lot, probably every five minutes, but more like every minute just rotating different oils.

About an hour later the bite had reduce in half, and the next morning my skin was flat, and by mid morning, you couldn't even tell a bite had been there.

Weird stuff.

And I know I can't spell.

Scarcity?

A woman on a doTERRA conference call today remarked that its okay if people on your team don't work a business, or just do a hobby. I think that's signifcant, and well said.

I have looked poverty and unjustice directly in the eye. The Karen in Burma are a stateless people. Running is not a choice for them. In the dry season, they will hide in the jungles perfectly still for days and eat nothing but bamboo shoots. In the rainy season, they will move as quickly as they can to the Thai border to seek refugee Many drop down with malaria along the way. If they eventually make it, they are put in camps with 10,000 other refugees and given no land to farm. They breed mice and fish for food, and most live with practically nothing.

I do not think America is better than any other country, but I am very blessed to have an American passport, speak English, and have the option of saving money. If I want to save money, I can always move to a tiny trailor, sale my car, and eat beans and rice. But for most of my Thai friends, they already live in a hut, drive a motorcycle, and eat rice. They can't cut enough corners to save money when their salary starts out at $200 a month as a college graduate.

And so, we have so many options in America, to make and save money. One of those options is network marketing.

If you sign up for doTERRA,
some people on your team will be consumers. Some will do hobbies. some will do testionies. Some teams won't grow. Some people will make money off you for doing nothing.

But if you go and get a job, the business owner will get rich from your production, and when you die, the checks will stop coming, and your family won't inherit your job.

Remember, in America, there's enough money going around for everyone. If your friend makes money off you, you still get money too. There's no scarcity. In Africa, there's scarcity.

Pick your choice.

Testimony Tuesday -- baby teeth

I don't remember much about losing teeth, other than people teasing me about jerking it out before my tooth was even lose. Or sleeping with teeth under my pillow. :P  But I haaaaaave used deep blue on wisdom teeth, and it does help with tooth pain. And so does clove bud.

Per a kid who has more immediate experience in this than me.

"I sat in the bathroom and my loose tooth was hurting and bleeding. I took a little drop of clove bud and rubbed it on the gum around the tooth. It stopped hurting so I reached in and pryed it out. Best of all, it didn't even hurt." Lillian age 10

Testimony Tuesday

So lots of things help me with pain. For example,  deep blue rub has helped several of us with muscle pains and with headaches and various other pains.

This Testimony Tuesday gives just one example of how doterra Cypress helped relieve pain.

"My husband has bunions. For the last 20 years, every time he goes snow skiing, he has pain that shoots through his foot during the ski trip. This year I had him put a drop of cypress on each bunion each morning before skiing. He was hard to convince but no pain all day! "

Traveling doTERRA family

Posted by Lana on April 1, 2012 at 8:30 AM Comments comments (0)

I always thought it would be cool to travel around the world and share doTERRA; use doTERRA oils on locals through all the jungles, deserts, and third world place; and blog about the daily uses.

The problem is I don't want my whole life offline. I don't want to blog about everyone I visit, and everything I do. I just don't. Because not everyone on the internet is safe, and I want to deeply connect with the locals rather than solely on a computer screen. (That's why I hate facebook. Its life online in its worst form.)

However, I love reading successful travel blogs. Today I discovered a blog called Live Deliberately: Discover, Dream, Inspire; a blog where two parents and their five children are traveling around the world on a back of a truck.

Guess one way they make their money to travel: doTERRA ESSENTIAL OILS!

Isn't that crazy?

Or cool, rather.

Anyway, be inspired.

Testimony Tuesday -- 3 in one

Its the little things that make oils so wonderful. The days where your not really ill, ill. The days when your in another country. The small things. Sore throats, coughing, laryngitis. Here's a few testimonies on the small htings.

From one user:

"My husband woke up with a sore throat. He started putting melaluca on his tongue every 15 minutes and the sore throat went away and didn't come back."

"My son couldn't sleep because of constant coughing. I put breathe on his chest on on the bottom of his feet. Within 5 minutes he fell asleep and there was no more coughing!!! "

From Evelyn

"Richard put 2 drops TerraShield on his throat for laryngitis. He also took 5 drops lavender, 5 drops lemon, 5 drops peppermint in a capsule 2-3 times a day for his allergies. We added 2 drops of Purify 2 times a day to help take out any toxins from the allergies."

DigestZen

Posted by Lana on March 19, 2012 at 10:35 AM Comments comments (0)

This weekend someone repeatedly googled "constipation" and found my blog.  Now what a way for people to us in merry cheer. :P

Since it was urgent enough to repeatedly google, just maybe I should answer the question: "what kinda of oils does one use for constipation?"

I mentioned it here.

However, for my family and I have found that Digestzen works wonders for constipation. Remember, oils just balance your system. They aren't a cure all. So if your system is too runny, or too strong (:P), then a drop or two of Digestzen might help.

Can you believe it? People find my blog by googling constipation. Come all ye who are constipated, and I will give you rest.

Okay, enough, musings for the day.
